Wandering weekends…

Trying as hard as I could, I couldn’t find anything practical I’d like to own. Having $20 to blow every week, I decided to use the money to experience more of the city, maybe travel a bit, locally. This weekend, I will be going to Subang Jaya to check out the malls. Used to study A-Levels there. Should be fun.

Walked to Kayu for an iced Milo. Amazing price, almost 6RM. Christians being machined by the evil Liew witches. I have to spare some time to help educate these young ones controlled by axioms instead of beliefs. Anyhow, LittlePad-J is almost finished, just a matter of tuning it.

Been reworking LJ’s multitouch code, making it leaner and more organized. Added a slider beneath the keyboard for reference while typing. By tonight, I should have my own mobile writing station.

My watch collection is looking nice / colorful after lots of cool strap swap-overs. Next January, I plan to add one final watch: an MT-G costing around $1k.

LJ almost done. Need to save and restore the caret position here and there, otherwise it works acceptably. I will not be coding Browse until late November. Have a short story to write tomorrow to Friday. Ivy’s book to review before my 47th birthday. Wonder what will develop after all these wars and hardships. YouTube is choked with prophets and guides.

There is a resurgence of gospel, at least in mindspace. We talked a lot about God and His “train wreck” prophecies. About common sin and wide scale, blind cheating. About repentance before it’s too late. Family and westerners who’ve been sinning together want salvation. Sounds good to me.

Coding begins on Browse. Just laying down the interface for now. Hard to find documentation on the riscos-toolbox for Python. It will be a heavy job to get anything working by evening. Having 2 computers on my desk makes me feel important and worthwhile. Plus I get to use the huge MS multimedia keyboard I bought off Shopee, NOS, for a song as well as the junk store MS trackball I got for 90RM / $20. My very own RISC workstation.

Replaced Bodhi Linux on my Aspire Celeron netbook with full Ubuntu 23. Runs okay. Uses half my 4gb RAM with just a terminal running but is faster than Windows 11. I gave a 12RM donation to Ubuntu some time back. Took a break to eat a late lunch and am hitting the shower soon. Lots left to do. And the rains are here again as usual for Malaysian Novembers. Been coaching people astonished by the abominable Liew witches. Just take life slow even tho the pain comes never-ending. Life goes on.

Feels good to finish another well-written and interesting free story for my site, FreeLunch.my, where I also sell my best work, mss2.pdf via Gumroad. LittlePad-J is also usable. Will therefore be coding Browse over the weekend and week ahead. 10 days to my birthday dinner with family. Will be having a big steamed fish which Mom enjoys.
