My main rig...

I bought my BioStar Kabini mobo 7 years ago off a Lelong online store. BS is known for its toughened motherboards which I proceeded to outfit with 8gb of Kingston Value RAM. The quad core A-5000 APU with Radeon 8000 graphics came fitted to the board beneath a large passive cooling copper heatsink.

Along with the mobo, I got a WD Blue hard drive from a neighborhood computer store that was in the process of downsizing even as I shopped there. I also picked up a BenQ 22" PVA LED display. Their last one.

For its PSU, I chose a locally made SuperPower gaming supply. Tough and reliable, it has so far lasted over 10 years and was cheap. It has a new fan I got off Shopee, called "Snow Man", which was advertised as silent which it almost is.

Lacking a case, I stacked the components in a box like books in a bookshelf. Later, I used packing foam to stack the drive and mobo on top of the PSU so it looks neater and more compact.

This FreeBSD workstation is now my main workhorse, outfitted with a clicky MS keyboard and smooth tracking Logi gaming mouse. More later...

I’m making headway on my projects, my Bible study app and my novella loosely based on my life experiences. Finding that working at my desk on FreeBSD quite productive and relaxing. Laptops and tablets make one lazier compared to a full desktop PC / Mac. I still iPad every day and have charged up a travel BT keyboard to take my writing on the road with my Nokia / Google docs. This EOM, I will be at TRX to visit the new Apple Store, assuming it actually opens there.
