Meeting the Lord (1)…

This is a series of posts on salvation. Why do we need it? How do we get and keep it. Today we will be considering the Biblical teaching that salvation is truly for all mankind.

We run into hurdles that confuse the average man, dissatisfied with himself and his spirituality. That we are Gentiles, we have original sin, we are rich debauchers, we are lustful imaginers, we put pleasure and money before our religious needs, we do not know for sure if there is a God.

There is no point telling people: SALVATION, when nobody is sure “why of it?”. There is NO GOD. But let us assume He exists for a moment. If He did, would you like to be with Him? But wait, Heaven has little pleasure or tolerance for sin, so maybe… umm some other time, right? Some other time, says we do all know of a time when Man and God were at peace, friends. There is no point arguing with someone who has no eyes or ears open wide.

Can God save me? I have sin. The answer is YES. It does not require anything special. Don’t rush out and buy a rosary, Bible or crucifix unless you’re so inclined. Don’t kneel yourself out of Babylon, it doesn’t work that way. Fasting and praying take much too long. Listen to this: God just wants to know WHY a certain person, genetically, sins. And He knew the reasons and how to fix us after Jesus Christ was born and resurrected from the dead.

What then is the danger? That we fall, in our heart of hearts and pull away from Him. That is ALL.

Are there people God loves more than others? Resoundingly YES. These are His firstfruits, the saints, the elect, the wise, the righteous, His servants the prophets, and the so-called angels / white lights among us.

Finally, how to keep your salvation. Don’t place pleasure before God’s love. Simple, if He says “no”, then do not do it. Otherwise, do it as a worship to Him. Many people have no self control due to hardship or many other factors. We must have some virtues in order to avoid losing our salvation to wanton tangential sin. This comes from reading (such as this blog), and listening to others’ testimonies. Virtuosity is a practice. Do be virtuous. Do practice it with your neighbors and encourage one another. There is no mystery of salvation. It must have been an evil deception.
