iPad 5 in portrait orientation on an IKEA bamboo base stand. NOS Microsoft Multimedia keyboard (100mA) with wrist rest and a Shopee ball mouse (15mA), made in Thailand. The iPad drives the peripherals through a USB camera adapter dongle, and a PS2 adapter dongle. The camera dongle is also useful for ripping vinyl records and charging simultaneously.
Why don’t I use the ThinkPad more? It’s mainly for big or difficult jobs as it is power hungry and slow to startup from dormancy. I do love this laptop which I got used at Digital Mall for $240. It also runs my classic Mac apps, and Linux, through WSL. A real workhorse with an IPS touchscreen to boot.
Sad to say goodbye to my iPad 10 which shall go to Mom, probably. My dream is to own an iPad Pro. Seems like most people are out for my meager money instead of to pay me money. I should give away my stories for free.
I previously bought Apple Pages which is where I do my writing. A simple app that’s better than Wordpad or Abiword. Not to mention Wordgrinder which is primitive. Pages can’t do everything like LibreOffice, but it’s lighter and easy to work with. It’s also nice to have a portrait, full page view, as someone who writes a lot.
Switched to a pre-owned MS mouse 2.0A as the Shopee mouse was creaky and a rolls a bit bumpy. Bloomberg warns of a US war with China over control of the South China Sea. I can’t see why China needs so much space. It may be the urgings of the antichrist. Fear of telepathy must end or this pregnant passover will be a pass-over.
Found out my keyboard was manufactured in 2002 and mouse, in 1996. Both over 20 years ago. Some things just don’t die, they get reused, like the 7 year old iPad. Also using a new technique to keep away baby armies safely. Just imagine a chill near them.
