I promised Steve to be loyal to Apple and Tim that I would buy one of his new iPads. Now, it’s time to write my first app for iPad -on an iPad. See if that’s possible. It will be a learn Chinese app. Something I need myself. I know I’m supposed to do art stuff for a living but our new place isn’t ready to be moved into yet. Time left to squeeze in more programming work. I haven’t designed the interface of RouTa yet but I hope to get some inspiration this afternoon. More later…
Spent some time with my guitar, banging out some songs and rhythms. Did a little Chinese flute and relubed my chromatic harmonica. Mom is saying we will move to the new house definitively this month itself. I don't know what to say -my home for over 30 years and it's time to go to a new neighborhood and start new relationships, doing new things.
Liew witches and their American rustlers argued over my mindspace, trying to pin important prophetic events onto my doings and personality. This is wrong, even as LiLian and co. trounced all the important things they wanted, leaving 4-5% to do later. All while we took hits. Literally for nothing.
RouTa is still nebulous. Just a few view controller structs from an example code project on my iPad. I need a learning flow, then an interface for it. I think it should consist of common phrases decorated like a captcha with pinyin hidden among the patterns as well. Each captcha is called up by searching for a word or words in a search box. I may then expand the app from there. Got to find out how to make captchas.
Decided to use the Analects of Confucius as the teaching material. Everyone wants to know how it goes and not how to order a meal at a restaurant. At least that’s my intellect. First hurdle, getting the captchas to accept UTF-8.
Wearing my Prospex 077j on Bond Zulu. Feel it may be the watch I wear most often as it’s comfortable, respectable, simple, and tough. Maybe I’ll write a Gimp plugin for captcha…
