Two Casios and an Orient and new ball games…

I don’t have a lot of space in my room at the shoebox where I’ve been living since 4 days ago. As many know, I like watches and could only bring over 6 of my favorites.

Of course, I brought Dad’s university days Bell-Matic, Mom’s Tissot PRS516 birthday gift, my Mudman Solar which has moonphase, the boy-size solar lap counter (which is my beater), the new Edifice to serve as my sports watch, and after much thought, the Orient 3 Star (tristar -pic above) as my humble retirement dress watch. It is non WR and paired with a gold distressed lizard strap.

Hard to believe my beater is a non-G, my sports watch is a 10-minute quartz chronograph, and my dress watch is lower tech than a (modern day) Seiko 5.

I also brought over my soccer ball and touch rugby ball which I re-inflated with my new 15RM Decathlon ball pump. Worked well. Been thinking of games disadvantaged kids can play with a rugby ball or foam soccer ball.

The first game is called fuzzy touch rugby. The objectives of the game are simplified: bring the ball past a touchline any way you can. There is no tackling, just touching the ball carrier on his torso. To stop the ball carrier, you must touch him without him touching you back immediately. Then he has to hand over the ball (to you) in a gentle short swing. If a ball carrier touches you first, you cannot touch him back or obstruct him with legwork.

The second game is called loose soccer. I developed it because some people have lower ball skills that could be improved given more play. There is no kicking. At all times, boots (shoes) must be above or under the ball. Lofting the ball is permitted, upon which you may control the ball with top and bottom touches.

Today is my psych clinic appointment. The first, leaving from our new place (the shoebox). Didn’t write my novella or debug my applet. Seems I’m rather lazy. We did remove much of the Liew witchy 6’s army tho.

Plumber is here to fix a leaky pipe near the kitchen. Had unappetizing pork noodle for lunch. Can’t complain over free food. Need to shower.

Back from psych clinic. Bought my doctor strawberries and almond milk -healthy, plus a box of Ferrero chocolates which admittedly are sinful. Some Americans acted out onto Asian families, causing a small situation. Tried to handle it but my memory is fading and I’m no longer much use. Had charsiew and rice for dinner. Was good. Tomorrow, we’ll be going to the downtown mall. Not sure what’s up.
