Merdeka looms…

In 30 minutes it will be Independence day celebrations. There were some fireworks and maybe more to come. Apparently, the Liews are targeting celebs again. I tried my marksmanship at 25 yards. I’m not a bad shot. This blaster is the best thing I’d owned since I had a Macbook Air. And cheap too.

Did lotsa bug fixing on Frag which thankfully is a simple iOS app. May be able to fix the remaining bugs by late tonight / tomorrow morning. But I will be going for a light run early since I missed this morning’s long walk to Bible meet.

Merdeka… what will it hold for us Malaysians? Already Indonesia is burning in protest. Smaller scale dissent here due to similar hardships. Liew witches striking to derail the celebrations.

Been feeling a little oppressed this evening…

Feeling like I shouldn’t be -BE. Like all my options and all the world’s joy have been sucked from around me. A much used trick of witches to destroy a church who found them out and fought them off. Yea, witches have power spread over millions of sinners and the proud / arrogant / ignorant.

But powers we have aplenty and patience is growing thin with these insidious destroyers.

My Nerf rounds shipped at long last. Can’t wait to shoot them. Mom will be going to a reunion lunch. I will join my church meetup via online as I have to wait for my parcel. Prepared the cash for it by the shoe rack. Found out my xx-100 is one of the fastest Nerf guns ever made. I need to rig a target for tomorrow’s shooting. Something that will rattle when hit.

Feeling like I should take a break from blogging for a while. Been thinking I would not purchase more extravagant / unnecessary stuff and focus on my key hobbies / work. Being now, effectively retired. My favorite possessions:

Listening to my Pastor teach via online meeting. He raises a lot of questions. Like why is there a second rebellion after a thousand years of Jesus' rule? That seems crazy at first glance. And what is the overall plan of God? What does he hope to achieve? Are human beings special / valuable or just (cute) pets of the Most High?

And when Jesus says we must dress well for His wedding, what can that mean? Dress to please someone we never met but were told about. I guess it is to have and cherish His values -to agree with them even deep within.

Strong's Greek: 907. βαπτίζω (baptizó) -- To baptize, to immerse, to dip : Baptism is actually not so much referring to the immersion of a person in water but instead to being overwhelmed by suffering for God's purpose. In such a case, quite a portion of my life has been spent being 'baptized', being held under. This raises the question of why God requires us to suffer. It cannot be to make us tough, or to select those faithful. Mathematically, suffering can only be the result of disobedience -that the Universe and our souls are in friction.

Intercourse is a disobedience that is drawn out to the point that suffering becomes pleasure. Can a person find that 'narrow gate'? Baptism is like being born a young bird who needs to learn to fly. It is suffering and danger but full of pleasure when it's properly learned. [thanks to my Pastor for bringing up these questions]

Law vs. Conscience…

We all bleed when we sin whose hearts are not singed / cauterized by stubbornness and sensuality. The Law of the Land may bleed our pockets and our freedoms who do crimes, while sin bleeds our pride-conscience. But what I really mean is that having both Law and Conscience only makes us more extreme in the thing or way that predominates our cultures or personalities.

The Old Testament reads like a comedy of errors. They asked for a Law, a King, they were given priests, prophets, told how to atone for sin in easy ways. It ended up with the chaos we have in Israel today: Saints versus Zionists. And I can’t say I 100% agree with God using his chosen people as a petri dish - as a means to an end, aggressively trimming their branches.

How the world suffers.

The reason for a secular judiciary in much of the world is because of the Jews and their history. Marx would agree, and he was a Jew. Atonement made easy soon led to corruption, abuse of power, disobedience to God. The Kings of Israel were many of them evil and mad, killing the prophets, Jesus as well.

Atonement made bitter (secular penalties) made many into changed people. I was interred in rehab and it made me stronger and wiser. Men cannot be ruled by heart / God, and its spiritual feelings but by the letting of blood, whatever form it takes.

So when we get to the issues, for example women’s rights to choice, we must not use our feelings, our religion to judge. So does that make God powerless? Not at all, He is selecting us for inclusion in His Kingdom which is compatible with being corrected by our peers. So when issues arise, think of this and judge right. Give to Caesar what is his, and to God what His is. More later…

It's been a while since I figured how to preach the gospel...

Religion is a hypocrisy. Holy words we use are a hypocrisy. Men mouth them but do not know how to keep to them. A little kid asked me what I meant as Jesus was her favorite friend. Jesus is my friend too but there are many who must be told the truth in baby steps, so I referenced Abraham -a common figure respected by all 3 major world theistic religions.

There are so many Christians who read the Bible for Jesus -to know him -to be saved (just by him). But I won't take up any more time, "for whomsoever believeth in Him (God's son) -I give the gift of eternal life" and I'm left wondering what belief strength I need have. Don't you feel it's weird? Faith in the absent Messiah leads to a house built on sandy ground. Build it on the rock of God's whole word that reflects about Abraham. Jesus should contact you and bless you for your service to the Kingdom come.

I have been thinking, actually of devoting my retirement to answering more tough questions as when I eventually succumb to the telepathy of the evil Liew 6, these wisdoms will be left behind for the earnest reader, whom I once was and still am. Let's discover God's plan for all our lives together.

This Friday, it seems I am finally ready to study the Bible in-depth. I read it over cursorily once or twice when I was 17 and have gleaned a handful of useful wisdoms / verses over the years. I plan to talk about the pressing issues such as sexual immorality -does it have bounds or is it a consuming emotion? Do we like pro-choice? Is marriage a sanctity? Do all Christians go to heaven or all pious people? Are there some who are God's enemies? Does having Nephilim traits mean you're cooked before it ends? More tomorrow...

Nerves for Nerf…

My xx-100 blaster is in the house, after 5-6 days, order placed. If you do order one, the foam balls come separate, in a compartment of the box packaging so look for them and don’t cut up your box.

First impressions, feels and looks like a real non-lethal firearm. The honor went to Mom to test fire it at the far wall of our dining-kitchen, about 4 meters away, and the power of the ricochet was astounding. Could have put an eye out. Bet it can do 10 meters no sweat. I… haven’t fired it yet but I primed the spring for her and it is quite a load to pull.

Actually have to be careful not to blast your sensitives / face so I like leaving the trigger lock on. Accuracy is also good. Goes where it looks like, albeit at circa 10m, indoors. Don’t think I will mod it as it’s powerful enough. Maybe when it gets old and weak.

I now need to get extra ammo for another 40ish RM. Maybe later, in September. Feels nice to own a non-lethal / for fun, weapon. I really regret buying my compound bow when I could have had this for lunch money. Bow cost me 2kRM+ and was rarely used. As I mentioned before, knowing YOUR dreams is the key to success, not following seductive pride-jonesing dreams gleaned from popular culture / history / esotericism. It’s no excuse to say one were ignorant or misinformed these days.

Was thinking that Nerf rounds could shoot twice as fast if they were collapsible, had seams that allowed the round to contract upon fire, yet expand when compressed or when hitting a target so as to not be dangerous. Likely, they should be hollow for this to happen and probably made of denser foam overall.

My accu-rounds from Hasbro arrived this evening, pretty late. They shoot very well out of my 2019 xx-100 blaster. I would say I prefer shooting with accu-rounds compared to the yellow elite rounds. IMHO they are faster and more durable coming from a pistol-type that's rated 90fps. Gotta love Nerf gear.

Will not be able to run except maybe tomorrow, early, because of all the interruptions today.

Taking stock of things...

I had been down for maybe a week or so since I felt a little weak and was somehow joined to Mom who cannot sleep well, then a few scares and anxious moments sapped my 'force' as things didn't go my way. Had to attend Bible meet with my church mates and got hit with incontinence attacks, pimples, hair loss, gum / tooth pains etc. I was near breaking point but fortunately, I have Jesus' love and that saw me thru this bad patch.

All the time, kids and witchy Liews came to torment me. But today, I finally made good. Actually it would be tomorrow (as it's night time): 5e ABY 'The Blessed Fool's Puzzle'. Bob's my uncle. I will come into some money soon, easy money. And LiLian will be undone by the prophecy that is unspooling fast.

God will repay the guilty with what they deserve and free the slave who loved Him.

Seems like a storm is brewing outside, this after earthquakes were felt in Johore down south. Would like to buy something for myself to celebrate, maybe spend 100RM. I have to keep some money to treat my cousin to something good when they come mid of next month.

DIY-ed a haircut. Now I look presentable again. Maybe God does work in my life -to the smallest of details. I rarely check, not that He does not normally do this. But what my fate will be in these last times is so far uncertain. I prayed to be kept from harm and so far it is granted.

Almost midnight. A workout would be good sometime now. Figured out you can reload a Rival Knockout in just 2 moves. Pull the grip spring while flipping the barrel slot out, then slam the barrel back while ramming the grip spring against your leg.

Seems my readership is decreasing. Wonder why? Maybe I haven't been my usual self these past weeks. Yea, I have been under some hardship.

I ordered a Nerf Rival blaster...

There was a discount on a compact single shot with 2 ammo rounds on Shopee so I got one for myself. It looks like a sci-fi movie prop except you have to prime and reload manually every shot. Flies pretty straight circa 10m according to YouTube videos and does about 80-90 fps.

The main draw was the fps and the short barrel with the cool reloading mechanism that's a bit like a sniper rifle (the older ones). Wish they provided 4 rounds (which are ball-shaped) but you only get half that.

This was a toy gun released 5 years ago. Not the least bit a defensive weapon unless you spike the rounds with something nasty which would be hard and dangerous to do -thinking pepper oil? Itchy powder? But really, it's a great shooter for building accuracy and speed indoors. I'm fixed on the itchy powder (kidding). Thinking it might blast its way thru thin paper which would be fun in the shoebox where we live, set up a target on the back door.

Really stoked on the delivery maybe this weekend. Thought of giving my bow away. I never really fired it much over the past 10 years and it is in need of service which is expensive.

I was thinking how to improve the firing stability / accuracy of the Nerf blaster. And very originally, I came up with pressurized rounds. To fill the rounds with a mil of light vegetable oil maybe, thru a syringe, then seal the needle hole.

I also came up with rollers at the end of the barrel to impart rotary spin to the rounds. Not sure how best to make these. Rifles normally come with spin grooves for accuracy.

I thought of replacing the air limiter with a rotary device so the rounds might spin in the barrel for straighter flight.

My uke strings are on delivery...

Finally upgraded my uke strings to 38RM Martin polygut. They’re quite nice to touch but are a little too low tension to provide much of a punch / presence. A little disappointed but otherwise quite happy to have something with easier action and a different sound.

I like that they’re a designer shade of medium gray. And also a bit more expressive. In recordings, they don’t obscure my vocals. But it’s only the first few hours and things may change by tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Liew witchy 6 are targeting Christians in America and other English speaking countries including me, here in Malaysia. We had to fight the evil tho she is millions strong and drunk with the blood of true believers. It did come as a surprise to me that we at the end of the age would be tormented in the mindspaces by an evil entity.

Haven’t been coding today. And my meds are running out. The generic solubles might not be a good option. Having to take meds to placate the evil witch who was caught sucks. And more so that she is now pushed to destroy me while I take more meds. This must be a bad dream in the minds of weasels.

I'm bored / prevented so let's invent / innovate some stuff...

Still sore after failing to invent the Apple pencil stabilizer nub, I got out my 3M Nexcare micropore paper tape and wrapped the stylus nib. It felt okay-ish, a bit too tacky so me and some friends in the mind thought we would wax it. I rolled the tip into the bum of a big white candle and sure enough, the grip on-screen was near perfect. Highly recommend this technique -in fact a friend of mine is selling a commercial solution based on this concept. I think the wax also reduces wear on the tacky paper tape. YMMV how long it lasts. May need to re-wax every writing session.

I was also thinking of how to reduce the fan noise from air conditioner compressor units. And I thought of a resonating netting tuned to white or pink noise of the opposite amplitude placed in front of the unit. Perhaps a PVC pipe system with an air gathering cone and back-turned tube ends that reverse the frequency of the noise by Lambda = v/f. Sine to Cosine. Not sure how that might work.

Was also thinking of a guitar learning aid called fret-buddy. You can make it yourself from modeling clay or salt dough. Basically, you want a long stretch of the material that you can imprint your fingers into and slide to change to the next pattern. It's a good way of learning a song thru help from muscle memory.

My old idea of a tennis stringing vending machine is revived. I will illustrate it: 

The string is threaded thru the frame loosely and placed against the machine which has a pattern of screws, movable to fit the racket. As the screws turn, the string tension increases, then the screws disengage by their pointy ends. The whole process takes 2 minutes, minus the time to self insert the strings you bought.

Did a test recording of my new D’addario folk strings…

They are mellow and less harsh compared to the Kepma factory-installed set. I also feel the low end is better rounded. Must remember not to point the mic at the sound hole and to set that at level one. I used my Sonic Gear wireless mic set plugged into my phone via USB C.

Now to wait to test the polygut ukulele strings I ordered. I have a good uke made from mahagony, and maybe it will sharpen up with the new Martin strings. Presently, the Aquila strings sound a little plasticky and a bit hollow. Just unwound them carefully and will keep them with the Kepma strings in my cabinet. No sense wasting still good strings.

Am being surrounded by good and evil people. Feeling a little hemmed in. Will take my meds now. Brush soon. Already worked out earlier.

My all Casio rotation…

My most humble EDCs. All Casios and all AD / online AD. All quartz. I think I need a watch roll at some point. Total cost circa 1kRM.

I reach for the 2200 carbon core guard often and it is humble in appearance, dirty gray on a gray NATO. I guess it’s my beater or casual watch.

This is my sports watch for when I need to impress and be admired. Low end Casio Edifice chrono on a faux leather strap.

A humble MQ27 quartz tank in black resin with a plush leather strap. I like it because it’s almost all black, flush, and resembles a bangle. My dress watch.

It has been a dream of mine for some time to build a collection I will actually wear, all from budget watches. And make it look good.

I ordered new ukulele strings to go with my old uke even tho I was tempted to get a Mahalo for just 150RM. The old uke is pretty good. I think it has a Mahagony body and soundboard and the roselle is inlaid wood pieces. These strings are special, made by Martin, and should give it a better sound for just 38RM spent. Some time ago I changed my Kepma's strings to folk nylons. No regrets.

Thinking of things to buy…

I will have 900RM by next Monday. And I wonder what to buy if anything at all. Thought I would get a rubber strap for my diver at just 100RM. There’s also a sale on the GXW5600 tide / moonphase, circa 200RM. A real steal if it’s genuine.

I was thinking of the ultimate low cost bicycle. One you can park anywhere and nobody would steal, or you’d get a free replacement immmediatey. It would also be light and comfortable to ride.

It has no chain and no wheels, just a rotating frame on rollers. It has no seat. But has handlebars that are fixed in place. I will try to illustrate:

A bike of this design can be made for about 50RM or $12. I was also thinking of car parking. There is a need for more slots. This can be done by selective road closure at peak hours. Parkers on the left leave soon, parkers on the right leave late. Parkers in the middle-right just stop by for 10 minutes. Something like that.

And I was thinking of self-driving cars again. There should be a heart rate detector in the seatbelt and a headband that allows the car to send errors, warnings, danger, to the passenger / driver, and to interpret his response even if he were resting or reading or using his phone.

The key to electric cars, or ev, is the motor and battery. The battery needs to be very small in discharging and very large in charging, a 2 stage potential difference. The motor of the ev needs to be very long, with an armature which expands and contracts. In this way, the motor is easy and cheap to make, as are the batteries. And safe from explosions too. I will illustrate: 

The battery works  better than conventional designs by division / leveraging on torque. This makes it possible to be simpler to manufacture for low cost ev, and also provides greater efficiency at the higher end of ev.

Coding on a Sunday...

Major coding session. I am almost finished with the AI response barring a few nasty bugs. After I solve them, Frag will be fully playable. Wondering why enemy pieces don't get removed from the scene and whether I should remove old fragments stuck in the game channel, maybe ones that are stationary.

Don't know if I can finish today but will give it a go.

I napped the evening away, waking up dehydrated and thirsty. Couldn't solve the bugs which seem to strike after the first frag or pod is released and I trigger another one. The piece indexer function is very primitive and is worth a look. And yea, the stationary fragments need removing for the game to play better.

Have been feeling depressed after the westerners gave me stick, claiming their rights to revenge, then Barneous Liew and the other Asian mind forces gave us some more stick, trying to wipe out God's plan. I put it to the Father that things are out of control, to no reply.

I got the app running quite well. Still crashes often. Don’t know why yet. Suspect arrays emptied themselves before launch. Getting late, time to take my meds and work out.

Crashes are odd. Need to put in print() statements to find out what's going on. I suspect that the garbage collection function is misfiring and so too the pieceArrays not being operated on properly. So close yet so far.

Organizing my room and stuff

Recently, I moved one of my guitars, the c40, back to the old house. Later, am moving my used ThinkPad as well, leaving just my netbook (powering a HDMI screen) and my iPad 10 here at the shoebox. Will move back my Edifier bookshelf speakers as well.

I washed my mattress cover and my room smells fresher. Spending more time reclining on my bed with my iPad than sitting at the desk. I also lowered my air conditioning by 1 degree to 26C which is pretty comfortable.

Liew forces hiding behind British mindspace fighters trying to core me out and live in me. Unfortunately this is leading to chaos. We have to leap over the westerners to hammer at the Liew witchy 6 (not ON them). We are breaking their chains and whips of sin and fear, shame whereby they control hapless conscientious British people.

It’s 9:30pm and I guess time for a rejuvenating workout. Will turn in around 11:30.

Will focus on coding Frag today. There seems to be a virus going round. But we're recovering well. Older people need more rest and less stress. Just do my favorite things and be happy.

The app is now stable and ready for the final touch, when I send in the AI-generated pieces from the top of the scene. Am quite excited but that will have to wait for late afternoon. Need a 2 hour break.

There is lots of game action now but yet some functions to complete and polish. It’s 11pm and I think I will turn in soon after a quick workout. Looks like a tomorrow night release.

Wearing my G-Shock 9300 to Bible meet this weekend. Think I will wear the same clothes, roughly. Maybe a FOTL tee instead of a white one. I need to keep warmer.

It's a chilly 24C morning. Will put on a thicker tee. Need to shower and brush soon. Happy that my coding is finally coming to a close and I can retire this August. Quite a few loose ends to tie up and garbage to collect. Need to find a streamlined way of detecting all collisions between any 2 pieces. Also would like the enemy frags to coast in below the top of the display. Right now they just appear. They need some rotation and more velocity.

Unprecedented times...

Rumors of the 3rd temple being built in secret, Trump annexes Washington DC as his personal state. China ditches Nvidia. Extreme patriotism -the kind that precedes a great war or conflict.

Tomorrow will be mid week and busy with errands. I am trying to squeeze in coding time but it's not easy with the Liews pulling all sorts of tricks. We're trying to do in LiLian -the main witch (evil).

Last week, pastor taught us about devils and witches and how they are simply clever evil people with knowledge of the mind and body and culture. False teachers and leaders who blackmail and mind control the weak / impious. 

Lately, feel less like talking / writing stuff. Want to begin writing my ocarina songs. I will write one song a day starting tomorrow. This needs inspiration / a theme. Lately, I wrote 2 new guitar songs as well.

Friday should be interesting. Perhaps we will see movements in religious space as well as Russia and America meet over Ukraine, in  Alaska, to maybe carve out Israel and Palestine along with the EU and UK. Indeed, the ABY [6d] predicts that somebody will speak high words while actually ceding to his opposer. I'm not very sure who or if both will do the same, or if a third party will cede.

I finally organized my desk so I can study the Bible more easily. According to prophecy, the center of my desk is replete with God's word. Put felt feet under my display frame and stood it portrait. Shoved the keyboard back and we have the special space "empty of the abacus". The netbook powering this Windows 11 OS tucked beside my mattress. Small round speakers complete the look.

Coding resumes…

Some setbacks. Mom knocked over my bow and something broke a bit. Nevermind that. Important thing is the thing that can’t break -our heavenly destiny. She has osteoarthritis. A condition where the cartilage is eaten away by the body (we all know who actually does this), leaving bone to grit against bone. This caused unusual growths and now she needs to take hydrolyzed collagen and wear a knee brace.

But on the plus side, I managed to get all my unruly pods lined up beside the firing trench. Took hours of tweaking as I wanted them to be a little jittery and spinny. Today, we do some firing.

Making more headway on Frag. I think I will wrap up tonight, roughly. A dull day of waiting for my parcel, feeling a little anxious over numerous things. Sis took Mom to a therapy gym to rebuild her knees. It’s hard to accept you can’t walk anymore.

Good progress this Thursday. I got the swipe firing and some clashing code done. Fixed that critical duplication bug. Just another session away from completion.

Ready to turn in early...

I haven't been coding Frag the past 4 days. Instead, I am practicing my ocarina and going to church meet every weekend. I use a hair tie to get my fingers in position over the RH side last 2 holes. Maybe should do 2 loops. These last 2 fingers are my 'crazy fingers'. To play higher notes, I prepare my diaphragm as if I'm singing higher.

Took my meds, brushed, and worked out. Must drink more water. Already past 10pm. Feeling the effect of my sedatives. I shall be the first patient to get jabbed tomorrow. Think my strings will arrive on Tuesday. I hate changing strings on acoustic guitars but these folk nylons should be worth it.

Liew forces are subdued for now. How long will peace hold?

I’m replacing my Kepma Mini’s strings…

It’s almost a year since I got this charming guitar and the strings are sounding dead. Bought nylon replacements for it instead from D’addario. 66RM. Quite expensive. Reminds me of the time I tried sterling silver Aquilla alabastros on my c40. These have ball ends and normal tension. Will be getting them Monday probably.

Meanwhile, plans are afoot in Christian space. I can feel all our brothers and sisters coming together as one. The love we share is deeper and more profound. And what we believed all along is finally being proven. Proven in the metal as well as in the clay. We have so much to look forward to whether we make it to the very finish or not. I do hope we all make it to the finish.

The guitar strings I bought are 66RM and there are of course, 6 of them in a pack. D’addario means ‘dark one’. And the word Bentley (the seller) means flattened meadow aka crop circle. There is a ‘marriage’ between 2 different types of person, classical and acoustic. And when the consummation occurs, the Antichrist should make his move, supported by a church / world leader. The guitar will be used to play / record a dark melody: This Closed Space. Later, it will also perform ‘Hair’. Hair was a musical from the 60s about musicians protesting violence and curbs on freedoms.

Long ago, I was connected to the group of the antichrist by prophecy, to moderate him due to the extraordinary prevalence of telepathy. If he is Nebuchadnezzar, I am his Daniel. It could also be one I select. At least that was the agreement way back when we were kids. 

I was also thinking of 1Thess chp 4, and the phrase “alive and remain”. Yes, yet again. Why Paul says 2 words when either will make sense, unless he had a reason. Mathematically, this indicates a bigger reality of which the coincidence of living and being scattered are the sweet spot. Many will be alive, many will be distributed (ominously, for dead). This seems like hair splitting but it is the central problem of the modern church and why corruption crept in as warned by chp 5. It is the “when” and “how” of Jesus’ return. More later…

Ocarina musings…

Around 5pm last afternoon, I took delivery of my very first 12-hole plastic ocarina. I had never played a 12 before, nor heard the tone of a superlative plastic one. This only happened because one day, I knocked over my purple clay TNG pendant.

The trouble with the TNG is that I compensated for breath control by partially covering holes and breathing every pattern the same way. This was not the right way to learn or make music, IMHO. So this new bugger is a step in the right direction.

Very quickly, I dug up a chart online and started filtering it thru my normal moves -my natural way of fingering. But what was really important was that I could now travel -go on the road with my instrument. Maybe not now but at some point when things open up a bit.

Trump’s tariffs struck today. And a meeting with Russia is scheduled around a week from now -so could there be an end to war and something palatable declared for Jerusalem? Will the 70th week begin in September?

Was thinking I’d take my KORG kOS synth on the road with me as a sounding board for melodies. It has note display, IIRC so I can jot that down and put an ocarina slant over it. Won’t need to lug a keyboard and this iPad Space for spare clothes.

And I was thinking I’d give my master-grade DiZi to my niece. Must be systematic when composing music as it is a science as well as an artform -a canvas for emotions that grind against one another such that they stir the mind / will of the rational man.

I need more notebooks and perhaps will use a colored multi pen to avoid confusion of the parts. I also need to practice methodically, scales namely, and arpeggios.

And I was thinking that God takes care of us when we do His will. That He had a hand in smashing my clay TNG pendant, just at the right time. Today, we used hunger craving pangs to rein in the Liew witches who are now regrouping but their support is low and unhelpful. LiLian, perhaps it’s time to end the fight and go home.

I discovered how to increase breath pressure on the ocarina the right way. It is not by exhaling harder into the instrument, but to change your breath's pitch. In essence blow it while making a high or low feeling with your diaphragm -like singing. I find this a little stressful due to my stroke.

My new BON ocarina…

I’m waiting for it to go on delivery around after lunch, normally. Then will post some pics and maybe sound samples. Hopefully learning it will be easy. They say it’s easier than the pendant I’ve been playing with limited success / repeatability. I half hole a lot and as usual can't remember the drill.

So, the oc is on delivery at roughly noon. Good news. Hope it sounds good for the price we're paying which is far above TNG prices. Mostly, it is the new taxes Malaysia has imposed on ''luxury'' items which I guess includes music stuff -non essentials. And the thing is plastic. May have to wait 4 hours+ for it.

Found out that the BON uses the Japanese sub-hole system. The 2 subs are on the same side consecutively. This improves the tone, and I think, also simplifies learning.

I think I have gotten over my infatuation with watches and computers. I no longer need them, nor sports equipment, and this BON ocarina will be my final purchase in that category. I also have enough stationery. Looking at things, there are several possibilities for my future. Key phrases stand out and I should clarify them: Sea of Storms / The Gold Jacket / Hair (which is a song) / Bone Flute (ocarina) / East vs. West.

To clarify, we are not talking money or fame here, but God's good work. The chronological order is important. There will be a mission to the moon, thus sea of storms, and there will be an antichrist figure or the gold jacket. He will set east and west to war, and he likes my song 'Hair" and will not kill or destroy me. The ocarina will follow me on numerous travels, where I perform my compositions in big-small dot notation (as in the Equator -a short story). There will be a full tablature below an anchor key mini tab as in the story. And it is this TAB system that wins an award as it's compact and readable.

Then there is my compound bow. It will later become something men carry around instead of firearms. People will have knives and clubs but not guns anymore. Those with bows are respected. As for tennis, I get involved in drawing young girls to the game with help from some former pro women. We set up mini courts all over the city here in PJ. 

But my main business comes from food. Cheap nutritious meals I sell thru Ruuma Cafe. Ruuma sounds like Malay for 'House'. I sell a kind of stew made from leftovers and nice spices. Also sour flatbread. I knew I would be a baker of some sort.

Just in case any readers think I’ve sold out, my blog now gets these links added by Google. I thought what the hey, they are useful. And if I do make any money, I’ll channel it back into OSS, social media promotions and other indie funded stuff I support.

Surprise, my BON ocarina arrived but it just looks like a BON at first glance, and in reality is a China-made LOVE. It came with nothing but a lanyard and was scuffed up a bit. I was at first annoyed, having paid full price for a Korean made ocarina. But soon, I learned to work the thing and it can play well altho it does play very loud, much louder than my original TNG purple clay. There is some expressivity to the instrument and I think… I’ll keep it in the interest of doing a bit of charity for that small music store.

Made sure to clean it well, a swish in soapy water and rinse off. Clearing the breath channel too using a zip-tie tail..

Here’s the culprit, size compared to a guitar pick. I actually find the instrument too small for my big hands. But it is as we say here in Malaysia OK-lah (passable). Compared to a pendant, this is a big step up. Just be sure to not buy from certain places that are desperate or similarly dumb as … me.

Just had dinner and am eager to write my first ocarina composition. I need to write the melody and harmony-rhythm, along with expression. Figure out what notes I’m playing from a chart as none was provided.

I made the micro quiver after all and it kinda works okay…

Somehow I can’t post images much on Blogger so I’ll just describe how I finally, after months, made the micro archery quiver for 3 heavy aluminum Easton arrows.

The thing is a strip of fabric, looped 3 times to each carry one arrow, then zip-tied snug with just one tie. I used 3M double sided tape to tape a soft steel disc to my bow sight mount and more 3M tape to affix magnets to the fabric loop ends. These 4 very strong magnets keep the 3 arrows attached quite well. In the future, I might use tacky fabric and even stronger magnets.

The quiver was designed to clip onto clothing for use, or be stowed with the bow during breaks / for transport. Think I may add another loop and magnet near the arrow heads so it’s sturdier.

Making this quiver was on my mind a lot as I had promised it to myself. Some say it is a sign of things to come, that the idea was seeded by God or his agents around me. In any case, the Mission Matthews now has its missiles.

A pretty lazy day aside from making the quiver. I ended up zip tying the small coin magnets with some foam tape between and clamping on this to the arrow holder loops. Been 4 hours, still no droop or peel off. Am thinking of improving the design with some aluminum wire to hold the arrow heads end.

Winded up using a magnet on a ziptie to capture the arrowheads. Works pretty well and is an elegant solution. The tie tail is wedged into a riser hole. Luckily there was one nearby. You can see it in the photo above, left side, the white curved line.

The quiver is steady when the bow is held and swung in horizontal and vertical positions thanks to the arrowhead capture magnet. This must be the most basic compound bow ever built. More later…

It has no sight pins, no release, no peep, and a drop-down rest I DIY-ed. I eyeball fletched the arrows myself with turkey feathers. (neon green). After some time, vanes tear / the rubber deteriorates. My nocks are budget no-brands as they tend to go brittle after some time. Used pliers and some force to get them to fit. Perhaps should have filed them down.

I picked up the cable roller from AliExpress, which replaces Mission Matthews’ simple plastic slider that abrades a bit much. It’s the slight bulge on the vertical rod center of the bow. Some say it contributes to speed.

I overhauled Frag’s graphics. They are much more appealing. Unfortunately, I had to adjust the positions of each fragment in 3 different size of pod. That was a black art. If not done right, the pods explode and reform spontaneously after whirring around somewhat. Am still lost as to the crashes due to unhandled touches on the background. Included above, is a video with the game soundtrack I sorta DIYed.

Feeling okay this morning. Somehow a bit sad. Was thinking of buying a different ocarina since the one I wanted was cancelled for late shipping.

Am looking a bit pudgy. Dieting and some exercise would help but I can’t do that much nowadays with so many in my space. Will run on Thursday. Keep up nightly brief workouts. Am eating significantly less lately.

Frag is now touch stable and ready for tuning the gameplay. I like that the pods are slightly unstable in different ways, blue versus purple, like Kylo Ren’s lightsaber. They spin and flick out a bit. Some may say this is an unfair foundation to base the game on, but I kinda like it. It’s organic, real-world. I think this is a game that older players and fighters would benefit from training at and still be fun for young ones.

My ocarina should ship tomorrow. There are so many frightened people in my mindspace. Maybe we can relax and write an article on Medium?
