My work desk, a crude refurb / repurposed teak dining table
The powers that be had forced me into lying on the floor with my iPad but this morning, they are shaken by mass protest against their negative telepathy. Thus I am able to sit at the desk again and type this on my Pi 4 where I installed a big Microsoft keyboard. Also enjoying the MS Ocean Plastic Mouse I bought yesterday.
I remember peacefully sitting at the desk when I had an iMac DV then an eMac G4. That was over 20 years ago. I loved those computers, they had soul and a strong design concept. Now, I use a bunch of uncoordinated peripherals plugged into a deck of cards sized SBC, running modified opensource Linux.
Becoming the focus of every telepathic sinner's emotions and thoughts drove me to desperation. But now begins the long road / fight back to sanity and productivity, even in these end times. I'm writing some new stories for submission and watching YouTube in between, yea at the desk. More later...
Waiting for my parcel so I can press close the case back of my HMT hand-wind. Hope it arrives today, before CNY reunion dinner. This watch, my cheapest ($13) has a special place in my heart. Likewise my Raspberry Pi 4 SBC which cost me just $37 plus a bit more for the heatsink, cables, and SD card.
My latest tale is about an ancient board game, discovered by a group of college students. I will be doing up this story well with full editing, and hope to get it published by FFM. Meanwhile my parcel is on delivery! More later...
Monitoring my watch, it seems to go from -10/day to 0 in about 12 hours, 0 to +50/day in another 12. So if I wind the mainspring once every 24 hours, the accuracy should be -10*12/2/2 + 50*12/2/2 or 150-30, 2 minutes a day. It's better to wind the watch twice a day, morning 6am and night 6pm.
My Orient TriStar video on my YouTube channel is doing well for some reason. Watches are a symbol of maturity / readiness to father children.
