Today, I finally got myself the keyboard of my dreams. We all remember the Microsoft natural keyboard and the Apple adjustable keyboard, later the Arc compact keyboard. Mine is the Logi Wave Keys. And for ~$44, it's not a bad deal.
This isn't a split-keys design tho the keys are angled slightly towards the center-back of the device and there is a hump middle which sweeps the D-K keys etc. upwards. Also, there are no key sets between the ENTER and numeric keypad which makes the form factor narrower and more usable on a small desk. Got to love the memory foam wrist rest, -makes all the difference.
Was pleased to find a wireless Bolt dongle which meant it works with FreeBSD, and has Bluetooth for my iPad should I need it one day. Keypress noise is less compared to some other keyboards. It took me a minute to adjust to the hump but now typing is effortless (I touch type). More later...
Being wireless means I can clear the center of my desk at moment's notice for paperwork / craft etc. Also one less cable to tuck away. Wish I had the money for a Logi Bolt mouse to go with the Wave Keys but that's secondary. I'm a writer and now I have my tool!
Picking up writing Once a Walk where I left off 2 days ago. Putting the new wave keys to good use. I’m not sure why I don’t mind revealing my novella title publicly but yea, stranger things happen in my life too. Feeling unsettled right now, as if many minds were scrambling for something that I, as their de-facto oracle, must have triggered. In reality, motivation for success in this life and the next is simply self diligence and self discipline carried through the current telepathy crisis. It is not trying to beat a sequence of traffic lights and fill up with cheap gasoline.
