Towards the end of my book / novella, I find myself burnt out and disinterested. Only have a few days more to write 4k words or 2 chapters. In this last 15%, a lot happens, and some important doctrines are presented for debate such as the nature of the ‘elect’, and preparing to meet Jesus -what does the Lord want to find in us? Or is everything on autopilot since we confessed our lies before Christ? And this is set against the backdrop of a failing society, a revolution against holy symbology, the appearance of the Little Horn.
Should be fun to write but I’m burnt out and this book of mine isn’t even half the words in a novel!
Almost 10am and no writing is getting done. Will do some detailed plotting instead and see if any golden threads I can use are embedded.
- Starts off with Claire coming home to find effeminate Max in a perverse tryst with a lesbian girl who thinks she’s more a man. Then messages come in on her phone saying her business will soon be liquidated. Max suggests they put up the Antichrist’s nose for auction before they join an anti-God march. All hell breaks loose from Claire.
- Gaythrii and Mark fly to India to unravel the karma of his soul and finally lay it to rest in the waters of the Ganges. His head in her lap, she tells him he is definitely one of the elect in a series of poetic vignettes set against nature. He awakes from a dream of her so real. And his song Reeds and the Rushes takes the top spot on Billboard -she stars in the music video alongside a hunky guy. Mark rushes off to find and save Claire.
- Sage and Kee part ways at Yeap’s wall, trading cynically-laced sarcasms about the personality of the Father and what is expected of his ‘children’. Kee rails on about salvation for all and slips off the ledge. They search for his body with a line walk and dogs but it is not below, just his clothes.
- Eve and Mandy are followed by a dark figure wearing a red clown’s nose. Suddenly all the doors snd windows seal shut. Eve defends pregnant Mandy with a bow and arrows she plucks off the monastery wall. He spares them his dagger, only as Max’s auction for his nose goes live. Mandy and Eve make up afterwards, from their animosity following their parents’ messy breakup. Eve learns why she got cancer, the ticking, and how Mandy is to be raptured for sure. Sage tells them Kee is missing, presumed raptured.
Weapons flying in the mindspace as we struggle against the telepathy from the Antichrists, their singes, bruising, cutting, rotting, even cancer-giving. We must prevail before EOM.
Feeling unwell and tender. But quite comfortable on my new futon. Had tasty soft food, Mom cooked for dinner. Liew witches zapped our group incessantly on the head. Everyone can see they are a kind of evil no God can save. There is a short talk scheduled soon on getting ready / made up for Rapture -the greatest event the world / generation ever knew.
