My can’t live without Casios…

After some time collecting watches, I realized that my most ‘valuable’ ones were all Casios. Not that I have MR-G and Masters of G, but that these humble black plastic watches are convenient, functional, and if need be, replaceable for just $100 or so. So here are the Casios in my rotation currently:

Mudman 9300

Left to right, the Protrek 270, and 200w

Both Protrek and Mudman are solar powered and have digital compass and thermometer. The Protrek has barometer while the Mudman has moonphase. I am torn between these 2 useful functions. The 200w OTH has a 10 year battery but low WR, just splash proof. I put it on a Casio velcro which looks boss. The other 2 are on rubber.

You may wonder about the 200w, why it’s in my rotation? I bought it because I fell in love with its clean round lines and streamlined plastic buttons. It was also cheap, at 75RM. It replaces my 800h which tho more practical, was boring. I wear this watch when I need something low key and generic. The fabric band is also comfortable.

On trips outstation / far from home, I prefer to have my Protrek with me. But there will probably come a time when I wear the Mudman more -towards the Rapture when I’ll need its moonphase. The Protrek nowadays retails for over 700RM while the Mudman around the same. IIRC, both models are now discontinued. The Protrek is going smartwatch while the Mudman has become more angular and colorful.

Having accumulated 500RM, I’ve been looking into a dress piece from Casio. Something shiny and metallic circa 200RM. More later…

I bought a Hill Audio IEM instead for just 46RM. Supposed to come with carbon nanotube drivers (CNT). Looks a bit odd. Was considering getting a 5-driver IEM for over 500RM but that would take all my disposable cash.

On the telepathy front, we fixed a lot today. Babies and kids and old poeple who don’t move much are without their ESP anymore. Middle eastern mind fighters still operating but we have a tiredness machine used maybe until God triggers their apostasy.

Back to my 3 favorite Casios. I used a black UNI marker to touch up the Casio velcro strap which had frayed white around its edges. Looks sharp.
