So I’ve decided to spend all my birthday money, $230, on something nice for myself. I was looking at On Cloud shoes but passed. They sell for around 600-900RM. I also passed on a MudMaster, a Garmin, the Airpods 4, a plastic saxophone from Yamaha, Golden Melody harmonica. Seems there’s nothing much to buy. More later…
Dad gave me 500RM, this special birthday that comes only 7 times in a long lifetime. So I now have 1.5kRM.
Both Mom and Dad’s parcels are coming in today. He will get a new Mac-like keyboard so I can have his compact Armageddon, and Mom will have a large shawl. Total cost, 46RM, about $11.
Bought Dad a cheaper braided leather belt, $6, to replace his old 99RM Uniqlo one. This one doesn’t have elastic but should be more durable. He agreed it looks good.
Something for myself… what should it be?
In the end, I spent just 156RM / $36 out of my 1.5kRM, on a Giro bicycle helmet. I own a Tern bike which I guess will see use every Sunday, early morning. I had lacked a quality helmet out of stinginess (thanks a lot, Mom). Having good gear is important to confident, satisfying riding, imho.
Above, my Tern bike and waist pouch for essentials. Will be wearing my Rockbros cycling glasses, now just waiting for the Giro helmet. Feeling relieved that I didn’t spend all my money at one go on something like a watch or computer.
…
Have a feeling I’m still correct -that Kamala Harris will act in Israel before the swearing in of Trump. That Trump will do something extraordinary / radical and maybe “self destruct” the USA in some form. The US will not have a proper leader for some time.
