Can’t miss the Apple event late late tonight…

Macrumors is down. What could Apple be planning? Should I redesign Frag for the 2nd time?

Turns out they unveiled the Macbook Neo at 2499RM. Not sure I want one, or a better iPad instead were the 2 OSs to converge eventually. And speaking of Frag, I think the arcade style is out. It will be a turn based strategy game as originally planned. But takes place in a square box.

Will code Frag in Playgrounds after all. It will involve building a team that faces off against an AI team. Teams are groups of simple robots with a unique punch / swing and walking style / footwork. Teams are assembled from limited parts provided, or differing masses and are sent to dismember or disable the other side. Not sure about the controls, tho.

Last night's action against the Liew witches meant I had no time to code. But I did make some headway on net4spice and git cloned the Netsurf repository. Net4spice will generate a mini circuit which users can tap for I-V by tagging the space around it with a symbol, maybe 'iv' or 'i', 'v'. This space is stored and updated with the simulator values. Ground should be ignored. Quite elegant IMHO.

Now I'm in two minds whether to code in Swift or JS. Thinking of following some templates for similar games, like snake etc. Used AI to generate some basic template code so I don't have to sweat over the game. Think this will be all for today. Tomorrow to add the animations and collisions I can reuse from Frag2. This will be called Frag3.

Waiting for lunch, will dig into Netsurf's sources. Find out what JS they're using and why it is such a poor performer.
