Today, problems with my DiMou / bamboo flute membrane drove me to design one that could be repositioned without water or heating. Ex-GF and I laughed at people using our hi-tech version that even comes with a special keeper box. Yes, it is slightly against tradition but now, here in the humid tropics with occasional air conditioning, I can finally blow with correct ‘vibrato’ no matter the room or weather.
Ex’s father and various Mensa friends say there’s money to be made -even 6 figures British Pound. Don’t really know much about business so I left this in their care.

Was also thinking of a portable grand piano. It should have short string length (~50cm) and 2 detachable resonance chambers either end of the keyboard. Vibration is channeled from the small soundboard to the res chambers via tensed strings. Maybe 3 will be enough, running lengthwise under the soundboard. The key is passive resonating, and savings of size and weight. Maybe 60 keys would be more portable.
Was thinking of the vibration transfer points. Perhaps wooden knobs pressed together with a metal vise under a certain specified pressure. Also need 3 of these knobs for each horizontal passive vibrating string.
