I got myself a nib holder for my Speedball nib. Gave one to my niece so I had to get another. Almost daylight robbery: 22RM for a stick of wood with a circular plastic groove to stick your nib. Once upon a time it was half that. But it is exotic and I am improving as an artist, so I guess it’s okay.
I also got a slim notebook with square ruled paper for 11RM, a good price, has a recyclable plastic cover for refills, I imagine. I no longer need to use my thick rough pad except for improving a character that’s hard to capture. Being systematic makes even fails beautiful and includable in my final sketchbook which I can sell.
Here’s some of my doodles I plan to expand on and sell:
I am mainly a sketch artist, a composer of features and posture, a character designer.
Made dinner for the folks which they enjoyed. Mom and Dad are slowly going south in the mind and in their joints so I have to take over certain things. Maybe later, to drive them about as well. Okay, if I have GPS / Google Maps.
Don't feel like editing chapter 7 but the topic is a good one: the differences between men and women. Maybe I just need a 15-minute break after the kitchen work.
Started work late, circa 10pm and am finished by 11pm. Just over an hour’s deep thinking. Planning to do more art training (studies) tomorrow morning. Edit my book in the evening. Also have to go on a run early. I want to draw full characters now, interacting in situations / scenes. Will be using faint penciling first up, prolly in my square rule notebook. Should be a lot of fun.
