Topple down house. Lots of houses get damaged in hurricanes or by floods every year. But what about a house and furniture that can be folded up or moved?
And what of fighting fires and protecting hospitals and refugee camps against fire and blast spreading? How about damage-limiting devices in sensitive buildings?
See the above sketches I made on my iPad for details. Erecting blast absorbing walls is something for refugees to do while in camp. A mixture of sand and heavy rubble, fencing, and mud / slurry is good for this. Maybe you can think of a better mix?
Folding up your house and furniture before a storm is a good way of limiting damage, as is erecting a cage of chainlink fence around it. Maybe you can think of better protection for a home you have to evacuate, maybe seal against water even, when folded shut?
