Some have asked me how to write a good original song…

I responded by writing a small 3 chord piece that eventually became “Evermore”. This is also a song title from the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack. Started out with straight GCA Major but something drew me to the BM shape on the 5th fret which balanced the GM. I tried to get the 5th fret to sing and it was by reaching over to the 6th string on the 3rd fret. Then providence provided the following chord, shrinking back to a BM-ish shape. Finally, I played CM with a lowered middle string. Then roundabout, abandoning GCA completely.

As for the lyrics, they are romantic, youthful, and about everlasting love. There is a soaring American Idol style chorus and I think a lot of people will like to sing and play it at guitar get togethers. Will post the chords and lyrics here later.

The thing about songs that stick is firstly they are made from simple chords, secondly they have good lyrics and interesting vocal melody, and finally, there is an element of difficulty that sets it apart from common little ditties and verbal unspoolings. It is difficulty or complexity really, that enraptures.

The Hamas intrusion was a result of the old proverb: TEACH a man to fish and you feed him for life, which met with the sour / bitter prophecy of God. It was a stern wake up call to the Middle East, eating out of the hand of America, not working on cooperation, nor enshrining the messianic evidence. The overlooking cost both sides hard losses, going on until today. Perhaps it is time to reconsider war, and consider what 12a ABY said.

The interpretation is that scheming and manipulations are going on behind the scenes of ‘false’ or doubtful technology which has religious implications. Today could see the final run up to the Rapture begin.
